Hello! I'm starting a painting series of Final Fantasy VII Summons. That's right, i'm gonna do all 16 of them.
What I want to captivate is that epic moment when you summon a spirit and that feeling I had when first seeing them!
More than anything I'm sticking with the original designs while filling in some of the gaps and focus mainly on mood and fun of these illustrations.

I'm releasing this one image just to make it official, but in fact I'll be posting per 4 images at a time, so yea, it'll take some time.
"But John, are you gonna tell us at least what's the next 4 characters?"
No, I want it to be a surprise when you all forgot I started this series and no, I'm not going by the sequence that you get these summons : ) .

Brings back awesome memories. I loved the fat Chocobo the most. He just comes in out of nowhere, falling from the sky, and sits on them like it's nothing unusual. Thank you! now I gotta go and open Steam and play FFVII all over again.

Well I played FF7 when I was like 15(?) too, im 25-ish now, and I still found that game to be 'ok' I still prefer FF9 to be my fav.. XD;;
