Description
Empy Thrie is an audiophile who was originally a swiss radio (they just kept adding features until she became a girl and ran away). She likes to hide out in the stratosphere, where she can listen to radio signals from around the world and enjoy a wide variety of music and sometimes encrypted military transmissions. Her hair acts as both a ballast (or would this be an anti-ballast?) and antennae, allowing her to maintain her elevation and pick up electromagnetic waves.On occasion she will be attacked by a delirious bird and she will wrassle it. This is always exciting for her.
One time she fought a baby goose.

So I’m finally back to drawing regular pictures! I thought I’d kick this off with a piece done entirely in Flash since I haven’t done that for a “nice” picture in quite a while. The smooth flat cel shading is refreshing to return to! But the background feels a little lacking, so I think I may return to painted backgrounds in the future when it seems appropriate.
Empy might look like she is ready to kill you, but don’t worry. Worrying will only alert her to your weakness.
Also, I don’t know why I did this, but only one of her arms is in her jacket sleeve. I will say it is because that arm is warmer than the other.

Ahhh! Her pupils are quarter notes! That's adorable! I love the details like that and the froggies on her jacket aglets. What are some of her favourite radio stations and types of music? Also, does she know of the number stations?

She doesn't know! She perceives the frequencies as colors we can't see. Her favorite frequency is "vivid bilenta," and her favorite type of music is super sentai .

I have yet to find out how someone creates this awesome quality of anime art.. but I love it anyways.
