Hi everyone, looking forward to trying out a few different color schemes with this! Trying to get back on the horse with digital coloring and honestly it has been fun. I don't know what has changed, maybe I'm just getting more comfortable navigating around the tools, layers, etc. I think this came out pretty well, but please let me know if you have constructive criticism. I am always trying to get better.As always, the background is bullshit and I just put it there to establish the light source.

I hadn’t thought about that! I guess I didn’t want to put blood on her feet, because I didn’t want to muddle the color scheme. From what I’ve seen, it’s rare for fighters to get blood on their feet, because a kick can knock someone out rather immediately. Whereas punches tend to open up cuts by dragging the force of the blow across the face at a certain angle. But I suppose if it were more realistic she would probably at least have some redness or bruising.

if you want to try different colour scheme, i would recommend you to try red and black, make her looks even more serious imo or a colour of here country's flag ?

Yes! I have been experimenting with color schemes a bit! So far I have a black and red outfit (with brown hair), and I’m working on a “goth” look as well, where she has pale skin and dark reddish brown hair. But I feel like I have to do the obligatory “American Flag outfit” version, maybe make her really tan and bleach blonde too? It’s totally not her personality, but the stereotype is out there. Might even throw in a few weird skin tones like blue, green, etc...

red and black outfit while maintaining skin tone and hair colour should be good. she wear red and black whenever she enter a long tournament which she have to fight multiple opponent in one night, all the way until she get her belt or trophy. she can say "red and black is good, my opponent's blood will not looks too obvious on it. which may make me looks too scary by the time i recieve my trophy"

I did a red and black outfit, but I made her a little darker with brown hair. I should try to go back and do the black and red with her natural skin tone and hair color. Still a few other color schemes I want to try out. Take a look at the other alternate pallets I posted and let me know what you think.

And in the interest of compulsively over analyzing stuff, I deduce from the fact that she only shows some damage to her face and nowhere else, and the amount of blood dripping from her gloves, that Joanna just finished pummeling the crap out of head-hunting opponent.
