It's a dancing Hippo! I know it's a little Fantasia-esque, but I swear I wasn't thinking Fantasia when I came up with the idea. I like to think that I gave it my own flavor with my style and the smart black leotard. She's a graceful dancing hippo practicing her fondus!This was done in watercolors and inks on Arches watercolor paper. Took approximately 3.5 hours.

You're so welcome. Charming work, again... And, I think the simple background is perfect. Sometimes simple is best. And, you wouldn't want a fussy background competing for attention with those lovely neck rolls, right?!

It would be WAY more Fantasia if I did a crocodile, elephant, and ostrich dancing in ballet shoes. Hmm... that actually sounds like it'd be really fun!
