Ah, some fanart! I haven't done fanart in years. I haven't had time. One of my favorite animes is Urusei Yatsura-- it's one of the first I ever saw. I'm not big into the anime scene anymore, and I don't really know a whole ton of the new stuff. I like my old school anime, and so thought I'd celebrate one of my most favorite characters in the world by painting her.I actually used to draw anime a lot when I was a kid. My first attempt at this painting was in an anime style... and it was kind of like trying to squish my right shoe onto my left foot. After a few failed sketches, I just decided to paint her in my own style and it worked out a lot better.
So yay for fun fanarts! It's done in watercolors and inks on bristol.

This is really well done. Her pose, the expression on her face, the choice in background colors. I think the light and shadow on her hair is my favorite part, sort of like the icing on an already wonderful cake.

Simply LOVE IT! And I agree with you, nothing can surpass the good old anime series as Urusei Yatsura. Lol I also tried doing her like Rumiko does but it is kinda not the same, so I also rathe rdo her in my own style. Nice! Favs at once!

Yeah the old series just really had a special something that not many of the new series do. Maybe it's just because I haven't investigated new series, or maybe I'm just stuck in my ways. I don't know, but I DO know that I love Lum! I love your versions as well!!!

Thanks! Im glad you like my versions. I have explored the new anime and I still love the old one. One of the new series that I love by the way is Ergo Proxy. Though it is radically different from Urusei Yatsura, it is awesome.
