Description This is Sierra, an African Gray Parrot. I drew this 10 years ago as a Christmas gift for a very special friend in England. I used a photograph that I had taken while visiting England. Everyone was surprised when Sierra just posed for me when I got the camera out.

He sure was a talker. He sounded just like my host and sometimes other people. I couldn't tell when the phone was ringing in the house because most of the time it was Sierra. My last day there, he said something that sounded just like me. It was so cool.

This is my first and only "animal" drawing and now you see why I don't draw animals. I'm no good at it. I might be able to do better than in 2002, especially if I have a better photo, but not for a while. Now, no laughing please.

I can't see why you don't draw animals...this is really good!! And it was so long ago. I'm sure you can render anything well, including animals

Thanks for your kind words. I have found a great photo of an African Grey and I do think I might try to draw it eventually (you should see my list of projects I want to do). Again, thank you!!

I don't think it's a bad drawing, it's simple, but the shadows are very good. Of course, I prefer your drawings of landscapes, but I like this too.

Thanks, you're being kind. I discovered a great photo of an African Grey just yesterday and I might just think about drawing it. We'll have to see tho.
