This is going to take explaining.
Was dreaming thinking about the 0.2 again, more specifically what it might have looked like in its complete form as Birth by Sleep Volume 2. At first, I had thought it was supposed to mainly focus on Aqua, and some of the other things shown in the the teaser at the end of the Secret Episode. And then I saw this Dengeki article:

The number [0.5] appeared in the secret episode of [KHBbSFM], but according to Director Tetsuya Nomura, “We thought to tell the story of 0.5 with all three characters, but instead we decided on 0.2 with a focus on Aqua.” Will the dropped [0.3] scenes be discussed in [KHIII]? If we play [KH0.2BbS], will the content for [0.3] become clear!?

...Ven and Terra were supposed to be playable, weren't they?

And that led to inevitable thinking about how exactly that could be the case. This is my answer to Terra's part.
There are things in BbS that infer Terra's heart is trapped inside Xehanort's heart, so why couldn't he have a weird in-darkness "dream" sequence? Hearts hold memories, so why couldn't that have been an excuse to "live through" some of Xehanort's memories and reveal new background info? And what if Xehanort was still there as a taunting disembodied voice, paralleling Riku's Hollow Bastion level in CoM? Then they could just sass each other all story long and it'd be great. And maybe reveal another hint about Eraqus.

And this is my dream final boss fight for the whole thing. Why Xehanort's Guardian? Because I think it's the personification of the darkness in Xehanort's heart that's trapping Terra's heart within itself. Why are they at the Darkest End from DDD? Because I think that is the deepest, darkest abyss.

...And Terra has Xehanort's Keyblade instead of Earthshaker because of that optional Guardian sequence in the Final Episode.
