Ok, so me and my little sister have been drawing a lot of Puella Magi Madoka Magica related drawings lately. And we just randomly ended up drawing several Zelda-girls as magical girls so here's Saria!
Weapon: Deku stick
Special attack: Fairy Ocarina
Soul gem: Kokiri Emerald
I scanned the sketch, cleaned it up a bit and coloured in Photoshop. I tried to go for a traditional art feel. How does it look?

I love crossovers, when they're well written. Your idea is interesting, and I wish to see more. Is Link still a hero in your story, or will he need to become a she to do so?

As strong and wise as Saria is, I think she'd be very vulnerable to the failure and despair that would cause her to become a witch. Her naivete and childishness are part of her charm and power in-game, but in the context of PMMM, they'd be damning. I'm now wondering if there are any characters in LoZ that would be strong enough or clever enough to create a powerful wish and/or to deter despair. Maybe Midna? Ruto would go the route of Sayaka, with making a selfless wish for her people or another being. Tetra definitely could. Nabooru could possibly. Wow, now I'm going to be thinking about this for awhile.

When I saw that scarf I almost thought this was a Hyrule Warriors inspired design. Either way, the outfit really suits her! I really like the colouring style, too! ^^

Haha, now that you mention it, maybe I was subconsciously? I was actually trying to find a replacement for her turtle neck. She can wear it as a shawl around her arms too.
