Excellent shot! What's so appealing about this shot, is the grey grounding against the brilliant white of the bird.

Yes - I completely agree.Ā I could see how well the girls photographed against the grey too, so kept trying to coax them there from the grass.Ā They were quite accommodating for wild chickens.Ā The roosters weren't though - they ran for cover the minute they saw me.Ā Only the girls were compliant for the camera.Ā
I've been amazed at how wonderful the animals around here have been for the camera.Ā I even demonstrated to them giving me different face angles, and then they just did it.Ā Who says animals are dumb eh?

They seem to be much healthier than domesticated ones.Ā Living wild suits them.
