This is really beautiful on several levels. A rich variety of color against a black background makes it really pop out - which is always great with light effects. It's definitely very eye-catching.
I'm not sure how one would choose to look at this picture. I think the title of it is well chosen, there are several ways of looking at this picture with it's symbology, some of which could arguably be of a religious persuasion, however, I tend to think of it as just a very beautiful picture with some really fascinating effects. I am certain that this would make a truly amazing piece to put up on a real wall instead of a wallpaper on a desktop!

First things first; You are a very talented artist and i appreciate the fact that you revisit your work and try to find new meaning in them. This here is a very well balanced piece of art, you have graced us with, from the colors right down to the detail and shading, even the message you are conveying through this piece speaks of balance. I like how the colors wash over the whole scene and gives the animal far more primordial aura. When i look at it standing there underneath the crescent moon, i am transported to a dark forest, its canopy split open by the moon's radiant light and amidst the light stands this creature whose domain is that of life and death. I would like to see how this creature interacts with the natural world.

I would just like to start off by saying, this is an amazing piece of artwork and is truly stunning.
The way you captured a vision of a deer like this, along with the colors, resembles the aurora borealis perfectly. The black background gives it a lighter feeling, as if the picture itself was glowing.
There is no doubt that you were careful with this piece of artwork, and the work and time you had been willing to put into this obviously paid off for the best.
The only reason, however, that I had 'Originality' lower than the rest of my ratings, is only because I had seen something like this before, and many nighttime scenes.
Of course, this is one measly opinion, and above all, I still agree that this is obviously spectacular.

And here I thought the first version was great: this is FANTASTIC!
I love the blend of colors you achieved on the deer and the snow beneath him, and the fact that the colors quickly blend away into the dark background reminds me of Baroque paintings - you have all of this color and light and detail and then...a void. You know it isn't physically possible, but the drama that effect added to Gentileschi paintigns, others like her own, and, moreover, your deer friend here, is always mind-blowing, I think.
Very nicely done revisit! I can't wait to see more like this!

This piece is just stunning. It really grabbed my attention when I first saw it because of the glow of the deerin the center of the dark background. Everything from the details of the stag's antlers to the stars littering the background is so accurately captured, especially the eyes. The silvery moon's beams falls on the figure of the deer with a beautiful ghostly glow and lights up the ground on which it treads. The colours, though dull (I don't know if that's the right word) make this piece look magical and mysterious. Overall, the whole picture is beautifully made composition and I can't wait to see more from you.

First of all, i just wanted to say that this picture blew me away. The two colours and the way light glows off of it gives it a ghostly appearance and reminds me of Harry Potter's patronus xD, but that's beside the point. The way that the deer is standing there alone, staring with these piercing eyes gives it an air of authority. How you positioned the antlers perfectly frames the moon and makes it seem like the moon is kind of like a border for the two colours. How the glow of colours glow on the ground make it look kind of dusty and deserted. I really love this piece of artwork. It expresses so many things at once and it is a simply beautiful masterpiece. Keep up the good work!!

Well, I don't know how he keeps his head up! It' s really a beautiful picture and I love it, but I'm a realist. When I look at it, I just can't figure out how in the world he holds up his head with those enormous horns! I do think it's beautiful though!
