my plan was drawing kate beckinsale but i found this picture of nicole...with this extremely hard hair and i wanted to challenge myself...the hair always looks "drawn" ! i can't make them a little bit more realistic.. if someone could give me some advice, i'll be grateful!
anyway, i've adeed a different background than what i usually do!
i think it come out preatty good after all...

For your question about the hair - just don't make such a big difference in the lines of it. Like the outer lines are kinda dark but the shading inside the curl is light, so either darken the shading or lighten the outer lines.

i don't fully understand the question..
i drew it with different pencils (hb, 2b, 3b)
and one strand at a time trying to leave some spots clearer where they were hit by the light... i always draw in the direction of the hair........

I like this, easily your best drawing... for me
But I must join other DA'ists - not crazy about the paper, huni. I feel it detracts from you lovely drawing. But of course, its your choice

Very pretty! Your delicate style here really suits the picture. Also I quite like the sketchy look of her hair.
However, I think you are on the right path to drawing hair more realistically in the curls to the side of her face. Those look right - perhaps just with a little more fine layering in some.
Some of the dark lines of the hair on the top of her head look a little thick and more obviously pencil lines. Umm, perhaps more blending of the darker sections, and some thinner dark pencil work for emphasis would help? I've never actually tried this, so all my advice is completely handwavy and speculative

Holly crap man..this is so amazing. and don't worry, the hair looks perfect. I hate hair to so I just make it blend with the background.
