Continuing my Reverse AU series where the Grossologists are villains and the villains are heroes, this is my alternate version of the Chitin sisters. The most difficult I had with this one was the hairs. Their costumes are inspired by Marvel's Spider-Woman and DC's Wonder Twins.

Cara & Carly Chitin are not just twinst but the bestest of friends, so much so they sometimes finnish each others sentences. They're both introverts but Cara is shier and Carly is a bit edgier. They both became Proffesors at Gray Matter University where they designed arthropod-inspired gadgets, including a silk parachute based on spider web.
After the Gross-Lords took over the city, the sisters joined the Resistance and got their codenames Insectiva & Arachnidia. Their headbands blinks with various cloloured lights which allows them to attract and control insects. Arachnidia has wrist mounted web-shooters in order to climb and swing between buildings while Insectiva has mechanical wings attached to her back.
