Description Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, daughters and sons.
Welcome to the world that which you made into what you wanted,
crying out saying people are ruthless and abominations to all mankind.
Take a look around as the streets are filled up by night with the homeless,
how many of you have stretched out your hands to actually help any of them?
You look around trying to make a perfect world and environment for your kin,
you preach to them that everyone is unique and an individual like a snowflake.
Well I'll tell you what, we're not all pretty like a snowflake and every stone has been turned over.
So no we're all not pretty snowflakes nor are we all different in our own ways,
if this was they would teach diversity about religion and politics.
Media is full of people eating up the crumbs on the floor and drinking the scabs call gossip,
when do you get off saying everything is alright when it never is alright in the future?
I do understand you want to lead your child into a successful lifestyle,
but seriously we can't achieve that until you start bringing the truth to the table that we all hurt each other.
Listen to the sirens in the streets, what are you going to tell them if they ask?
Is it another sign by your God, or is it just another fool trying to make a living after you disgraced him before?
In a child's eyes the house is a sanctum of security and peace,
in my eyes the world isn't what it's cracked up to be.
Begin to tell the kids the truth the proper way,
no it's never time to tell fairy tales and happy stories because they're born to a dying nation.

Sincerely,
Anonymous

I give the homeless food. And if I have change, I give it to them. It's really sad to see and I was almost in their shoes. Can you believe that with some of them (probably a really small percentage, but still...) it's a lifestyle? A choice? I understand that "what you own, owns you," but being homeless and living away from society really does have it's disadvantages. Maybe if you live like a naturalist or minimalist outside city limits or in the mountains, it's not a big deal, but living in the middle of a city with nothing but the clothes on your back and without health care...it seems like a really tough life. I couldn't do it.

Anyway. That aside. I like this piece. It's an eye-opener and a good piece that would start debates/conversations.
