Freebird and Frostfang had spent the last few days going to school, and during one of the lessons magic had been brought up.

Freebird ended up bragging to Mr. Medlen about Frostfang's magic ability. Frostfang was slightly uncomfortable with it, though Mr. Medlen seemed to show interest. Magic was rare for a child to have, especially a complex magic like light magic. She'd have to learn to control it. He let her know that he would help her with that.

Of course, Freebird apologized afterwards. She insisted that she just thought that both her and the ability she had were really cool. Frostfang appreciated the compliment, though of course a good bit of the family knew before long.

Thankfully, there wasn't too big of a fuss about it. However, ever since Frostfang sometimes ran across a suited purple biped in the hallway.

And boy, they did not like her.

Frostfang tried to be polite, but the adult would have none of it.

"Oh, do you think you better then me? You trying to act all nice and mature to me because you got light magic? You're just a lil brat!"

Frostfang tried not to let it get to her.

"Why don't you back off, water filter?"

But his words hurt.

"I'm obviously way better then you are!"

The dude seemed full of himself, and seemed to enjoy telling Frostfang just how much better he was then her. She didn't do anything to him! She hadn't done anything to make him feel this way, right?

....

What did she do wrong...??
