Description What if Goku awaken Ultra Instinct against Buu? In this reality, Kid Buu pushes the Spirit Bomb back and as Goku loses consciousness, he surprisingly activates ''Ultra Instinct - Sign''. In this new ''form'', Goku quickly dispatches Buu with a Kamehameha and then return to base form, falling unconscious due to accessing that greats power out of the blue. Things would continue as in the original story with Buu reincarnating in Uub and all the earthlings having their memories of Majin Buu erased. Four years later, the events of ''Battle of Gods'' would remain the same until the climax of Goku's fight with Beerus, having lost the Super Saiyan God form and being pushed down to Earth. However, not only he regained his powers to stop Beeru's attack, but activated Ultra Instinct and gave Beerus a more tougher fight for a few minutes. Although Goku eventually lost the control over that power again, Beerus would more impressed with Goku's power and actually believe the Oracle Fish's prophecy was true. Once back on Earth, Beerus tells everyone he'll be taking Goku to his home and have Whis train him to control that great power, even saying that if Vegeta keeps growing powerful, he might take him as well and tap into the realm of the gods. Due to Goku's sudden absence, his friends decide to train again like in the old days and be ready to defend the Earth. For example, Gohan decides to train again and asks Bulma to built him a portable ''Gravity Room'', where he, Goten and Videl train whenever they can. Meanwhile, Piccolo travels to Yardrat, where he not only learns Instant Transmission, but taps into Spirit Control under Pybara's guidance. As for Tien, he decides to show how powerful earthlings can be and spends a year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Chiaotzu. Even Yamcha comes by to Kame House and trains again with Master Roshi, Krilin and Android 18. Thanks to everyone growing stronger, they prevented the events of ''Resurrection of F'', as Piccolo's improved senses detected the presence of the Frieza Force and quickly eliminates them before Frieza is revived. Not long after, the ''Tournament of Destroyers'' is held, where Gohan and Tien replaced Buu and Monaka, leading to an interesting battle against the best warriors of Universe 6. In the end, Goku and Hit remained as the final combatants and just when the assassin was about to win, Goku finally regains access to Ultra Instinct, allowing him to defeat Hit before he lost control over this technique.

A couple months later, Future Trunks returns and explains that his world is being attacked by ''Goku Black'', but fortunately for him when Goku Black appears from a space-time rift, he's defeated by Goku and Vegeta, even after transforming into a Super Saiyan 2, the villain is eliminated by a Kamehameha-Galick Gun combo. After travelling to the future, Goku, Vegeta and Trunks encounter Zamasu, who learns about Goku Black's demise and explains his origin. Since the ''Goku Black Arc'' is full of inconsistencies, in this scenario it will be revealed that Zamasu from Trunks' world is the main antagonist. During his time as Gowasu's student, Zamasu would learn about the ''Time Rings'', using them to visualize the past and possible futures, eventually discovering the existence of other timelines created through time travel. Zamasu learned about mortals intermingling with gods and the existence of Trunks, cementing his hatred towards mortals and deciding to do something about it. First, he killed Gowasu and travelled to Universe 6, visiting Namek and use their Dragon Balls, uses his position as god to ask the namekians for a wish, lying about Universe 10 suffering from great disaster and wanted to restore everything. Thanks to the dragon balls, Zamasu first wished for an immortal body and then tried to obtain a servant shaped after one of the worst ''sinners'', Son Goku, but the dragon's power wasn't enough. Having also learned about the Super Dragon Balls, Zamasu uses his second wish for a map stating the location of every ball and having no use for Namek anymore, he wishes for the planet to explode. When he finally collected the Super Dragon Balls, Zamasu made his wish and created Goku Black, who was as strong as Goku was in the Tournament of Destroyers, but also possessed the long lifespan and ability to survive in space of a Supreme Kai. After his creation, Goku Black questioned him about why not wish for all mortals to die, but Zamasu declares those sinners deserved a more ''direct'' judgement''. Before enacting their plan, Zamasu and Goku Black used the map granted by the dragon balls and destroyed each Super Dragon Ball to prevent anyone undoing their work, then they proceeded to kill the gods and decided to start by attacking Earth and punish Trunks for travelling through time.Thankfully for Zamasu and Goku Black, their world's Omni-King was taking a nap of a few centuries overseen by the Grand Priest, so when the gods were killed, he decided to wait for the Omni-King to wake up and then tell him about it. Back in the present, Zamasu regrets not having come with his servant, but remained confident as he had wished for immortality and planned on wearing the mortals down, until he can deal the killing blow. Unfortunately for the rogue god, Goku used Ultra Instinct to blitz Zamasu and knock him unconscious with a blow so strong, even being immortal would not allow him to immediately wake up. After returning to the main timeline, Beerus encounters Zamasu and decides to seal him away, as he couldn't destroy him thanks to his immortality and to ensure this never happens in that timeline too, they travel to Universe 10 and erase their Zamasu.

Back in the present, the Omni-King was somewhat annoyed with the usage of time travel and made him reconsider the number of universes, even pondering on erasing a few. On that moment, he remembers Goku and the proposal of a tournament among the universes, which makes him decide on celebrating one. Through the Grand Priest, the Omni-King ordered that eight of the twelve universes would engage in the ''Tournament of Power'', having the losers erased and the last remaining granted a wish from the Super Dragon Balls. While Goku's meeting with the Omni-King actually gave the other universes a chance to survive, the gods misinterpreted that and blamed Goku with telling the Omni-King to erase the other universes. To represent Universe 7, the team was comprised by Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, Android 18, Android 17 and Buu, the latter never falling asleep thanks to already having trained by Goku's suggestion. Once the tournament takes place, Buu's powers are very useful and eliminate a good amount of fighters, which forced Jiren to intervene earlier and try to eliminate Buu, but Goku stopped him. When realizing his opponent's hidden power, Goku activates Ultra Instinct and gives Jiren quite the fight. However, Goku finally faced someone at his level and eventually, even Ultra Instinct began to not be enough, while Vegeta tried to go help, only to be stopped by Toppo. Meanwhile, Gohan and Piccolo defeated Kefla, while 18 and 17 eliminated all of Universe 3. When he finally defeated the Pride Trooper leader, Vegeta observed as Jiren revealed part of his true power and knocked down Goku out of Ultra Instinct, to then proceed of practically eliminate all of Universe 7's team. Despite dealing damage in his perfected Super Saiyan Blue (Particularly with his ''Azure Final Flash''), Vegeta was eliminated too, leaving 17, Buu and an unconscious Goku as the last remaining team members. While he fought valiantly and 17 tried to protect him, Buu was sent flying out the arena, but as he was falling down the ring, Buu launched a energy blast with healing propierties towards Goku. Jiren almost deflected it, but was trapped in one of 17's barriers, allowing Goku to be healed and thanks to Buu's sacrifice, he breaks his last limiter towards self-improvement, achieving a complete Ultra Instinct. The battle between Goku and Jiren at full power was breathtaking, as even the destroyer gods were shocked to see mortals reach that level and the Omni-King observed with glee the true essence of a battle. Sensing his time in this perfected form was ending, Goku launched a last assault with a powerful Kamehameha, which Jiren retaliated with his own energy blast. During this humongous energy clash, Goku suddenly disappeared and showed up behind Jiren, grappling him as the Kamehameha went threw Jiren's attack and clashed on to them. As the dust cleared off, Goku and Jiren had fallen outside the arena's bounds, leaving 17 as the last remaining fighter and winner of the Tournament of Power, who proceeded to use the Super Dragon Balls and wished for the erased universes to be restored.

Meanwhile in space, since failing their secret mission on Earth, the Frieza Force decided to give up on resurrecting their old leader and send their remaining forces to scout for a new powerful figure, so they gain a new leader to restore their organization. Eventually, Cheelai and Lemo would rescue Broly and Paragus from Vampa, bringing them back to the substitute leaders of the Frieza Force (Berryblue and Kikono). When realizing Broly's great potential, they decided to sent Broly to harsh worlds and take advantage of his saiyan blood, making him grow stronger every time he fought and recovered from near-death injuries. While Broly didn't really like to fight, he was happy whenever returning to base and spend time with his friends, Cheelai and Lemo, who secretly worked on escaping with Broly from the Frieza Force. Eventually, they managed to flee and ended up on Yardrat, where Pybara decided to help Broly control his immense power and whenever he raged out, Pybara used Forced Spirit Fission to excract Broly's power so he calmed down. While their life on Yardrat was good, Cheelai and Lemo still had a lingering fear of the Frieza Force finding them, then realized of a better hideout for them and Broly. Having heard that the guys who took Frieza down lived on Earth, they decided to go there and ensure that the Frieza Force doesn't dare to come for them, which was not true as they were detected and followed by Paragus leading a squadron of a thousand soldiers. Once on Earth, they were confronted by Goku and Vegeta, who sensed Broly's great power coming towards the planet and then hear what he's doing here from Cheelai and Lemo. Unfortunately, Paragus arrives on Earth and when seeing Vegeta, he orders his men to attack the planet and eliminate all of Vegeta's subordinates (Believing he ruled over Earth). As the soldiers began to scatter, they were dealt by the Z Fighters, while Vegeta punched Paragus in the gut for trying to conquer his home, which unfortunately made Broly raged out.

The battle with Broly was intense, as he taped into his ''Wrathful State'' and fought at the level of the ''god forms'', but Goku still tried to calmed down Broly and offer him a place on Earth. Meanwhile, Berryblue was observing the battle and decided to force Broly to grow stronger, so she contacted Shisami (Who was Paragus' second-in-command) and ordered him to kill his commander. As Broly witnessed his father being killed, his rage exploded and transformed into a Super Saiyan, becoming more powerful than what Goku expected. Even as Gohan and Piccolo arrived to help, Broly was too much, since Forced Spirit Fission didn't worked as the saiyan's power grew nonstop and couldn't extract it all. Fearing that Broly would destroy Earth, Goku used Ultra Instinct-Sign and managed to overwhelm Broly until he delivered a powerful punch that left the saiyan unable to keep fighting. Once the battle was over, Vegeta contacted with the Frieza Force and threatened them to come for their heads if they keep messing with Earth, making them return back to base. As for Cheelai and Lemo, they were relieved for Broly's life being spared and the earthlings not being bad people, but decided that they would return to Yardrat, as they felt more comfortable there. Before they left, Bulma gave them many capsules containing valuable resources and Goku promised to come check out Broly once in a while, so he can help him control that great power he possessed.

TRIVIA

Shortcomings of the Future: In this story, Future Trunks explained how difficult things were in his world and why they couldn't defeat the androids. First, the androids found Kami's Lookout and destroyed it, preventing Trunks and Gohan from using the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Then there's New Namek, which was invaded and destroyed by an unknown alien threat, which drained the Namekians from their life-force before blowing up the planet and removing any chance of resurrection for the earthlings. That alien threat was actually Babidi, who on his way towards Earth found New Namek and collected the planet's energy to resurrect Majin Buu. The reason of this not happening in the ''main timeline'' was actually Cell, as his great power and everyone getting stronger to defeat the android made their presence known for Babidi. Thus, Babidi decided to go directly to Earth and finally bring back Buu, preventing their arrival on New Namek and the extinction of the namekians.

Earth's Weirdness: During the peaceful times between battles, they explain the origin of some of the Dragon World's strangest features. First 65 million years ago, Beerus did set off the extinction of the dinosaurs (By kicking an asteroid towards Earth), but in the present day they still exist. In this reality, it's revealed the reason prehistoric beasts roam the Earth again, is thanks to scientific experiments akin to Jurassic Park. During the 300 years following the terror brought by King Piccolo, scientists recreated them through genetic engineering for different purposes, but they ended up escaping and becoming part of Earth's fauna among regular animals and fantastical beasts. Regarding the Animal-type Earthlings or ''Beastmen'', they were created decades ago through ''Animorphaline'', an experimental drug that transforms humans into anthropomorphic animals, but they don't get to choose which animal they take from (What they get is what fits best with their personality) and can only produce children with other beastmen of their same type. Due to this fact among others, the current population has stagnated after arriving to a ''genetic bottleneck'', explaining why there aren't many beastmen like when Goku was a kid. As for the ''Universal Language'', it was granted to mortals by the Supreme Kai when creating new planets, but they can still develop their own unique languages like the namekians.

I Bet he'd be like Saitama; really bored about not having anyone strong enough to fight him. . .

I see that happening, but here's an alternative: Things would continue as in the original story with Buu reincarnating in Uub, all the Earthlings having the memories of the Buu Arc erased and time would pass until Beerus awakening.  The Battle of Gods' story would remain the same until the climax of Goku's fight with Beerus, having lost the Super Saiyan God form and being pushed down to Earth, but like in the movie and show, he regains control over his God Ki. However, in this timeline he also gains access to Ultra Instinct and giving Beerus a more tougher fight, although Goku would eventually lose the control over that technique and still be defeated by Beerus, who in this timeline would be much more impressed.

What do you think?

Much better than I'd have thought; at least when it got as far as you've suggested. . . I was thinking like how boring things would be for him being OP and Unable to enjoy a nice elongated fight; being frustrated and bored with each fight since he'd be OP, in the same way Saitama was. . . I Mean; from the Frieza saga to the end of the Cell Saga[btw, When during the events of the cell saga did Goku & Chichi have the chance to procreate and make Goten in her womb, before he sacrificed himself and went to Other World; He couldn't have done it with her when he was in OTHER WORLD, So yeah, Goten's birth is one of the Many DBZ mysteries some fans(like me) have been trying to figure out for a while; and I still don't think it's been solved yet. . .]; I'm sure he'd be really unhappy being unable to enjoy a fight, since nobody could even come close to challenging him enough to make an enjoyable fight that would last long enough to sate his saiyan battle-lust. . .

I wanted to see what if that happened during the frieza saga. Frieza would definitely be capable of pushing back the spirit bomb if he used his full power.

Then Goku would easily take care of the Androids, Cell, Buu and almost any other enemy in the future.

I would imagine that Goku's base power would increase substantially past the level of SSJ3 that we saw him use against Kid Buu. Afterwards everything from the Battle of Gods arc would be a little different. Goku's base power increase would mean that he would put up a much better fight against Beerus both before and after the god ritual, though he'd probably still lose.

His training under Whis would probably be slightly easier, since Goku tapped into Ultra Instinct the first time, though he would have trouble on figuring out how to get back into that state.
