To make things more interesting, here's my own original scenario...

After miraculously surviving an ''accidental'' overdose of gamma radiation, Dr. David ''Bruce'' Banner awakens a hidden power that turns him into a raging beast. Believed to be death and wanting to escape the press, Banner becomes a nomad that tries to find his place in a world that fears his other persona, ''Hulk''. It's explained that David was born with the ''Gamma Gene'' (Only around 300 people have currently), which allows one to convert gamma radiation into a superhuman mutagenic change, mainly when under extreme stimuli like major injuries, intense emotional episodes and especially, exposure to high levels of radiation. As for the subject's psychological make-up, it has been theorized that the gamma radiation somehow acts to mold the subject's mutated form according to repressed desires within his subconscious. It appears that being familiar to a ''Gamma Mutate'', increases the chances of becoming one as well and the best example is David's younger sister, Dr. Helen Banner, who received blood transfusion from her older brother and ended up adquiring the same type of transformation (Albeit with far better control than David).

Besides Hulk and She-Hulk, the other Gamma Mutants are Emil Blonsky (Abomination), Amadeus Cho (Brawn), Thaddeus Ross (Red Hulk) and Elizabeth Ross (Red She-Hulk). The powers received upon awakening the Gamma Gene are superhuman strength and resilience, impressive speed, nigh-invulnerability (Like being unfazed by extreme temperatures, pressure and even the vacuum of space), accelerated recovery, longevity + decelerated aging (Including being unaffected by all known diseases and toxins), rage-based power increase, radiation absorption/empowerment and telepathic resistance.

Trivia: As one might deduce, this universe is based on the 70s Hulk TV Show, where the only known superpowered beings are those related to gamma radiation. Unlike in other Marvel universes with Gamma Mutates, the ''One Below All'' has no influence here. The origin of the Gamma Gene dates back to the Ordovician-Silurian Extinction, when Earth was hit by a gamma-ray burst originating from a supernova 6,000 light-years of Earth. Among the survivors, one species developed the gamma gene and managed to pass it down across eons of evolution until it manifested again in humans during the Pleistocene. If I had an OC in this reality, it would look like this and be known as ''Brawl'', who learn to control my transformation after meeting She-Hulk.
