Just a fun little redesign I felt like drawing; making the cast of the cartoon a little more ‘catty’.Is Liono brooding in this pic? Nope. He’s technically a teenager, remember? Teens don’t brood. They sulk

I rarely watched the show as a kid, but even so, I think what you did with Liono was fantastic!

Remember: the original Lion-O looked like Ronald McDonald. The further away we get from the original the better. You want to go to the Cowardly Lion from Oz? Big improvement.

Fav all in the series, no need to comment on all. Overall I love the sleek look even though the image itself is a sketch. Very nice style. Always loved the Thunder Cats.

Oh, HELL YES. Bishie-kitty Lion-O! PERFECT! I mean, he started off as a physically-accellerated child heir, goofed off a bit, then MAGICALLY matured in the blink of an eye. I think a longer series with more character development would be great. Have Lion-O running off on his own, getting his ass handed to him a few times until he's humbled, y'know, have a few REAL failures to wound his ego a bit. THEN watch him mature into a more pragmatic leader.

I like the concept, but a redesign should have some aspect of the original design. We don't want another Godzilla-In-Name-Only here! If you colored it, it'd possibly be better to tell.
Also, they're still attempting to make a Thundercats movie, so a WB show might not be completely out of the question.

I like it except the claw shield looks a little off. You probably don't need the elbow piece, however I do like how it has 4 fingers.
In the Cartoon they could never decide where the grappling hook came from sometimes it was one of the claws (which did not look right) other times it was the knuckle jewels (looked better and was likely a better place to keep the line spool)
He also used it as a sabbard for the Sword of Omens both on his wrist and on his waist. You might want to make allowances for that in the design.
What would really be interesting, is a way for the shield to stop not only blade attacksm but projectiles and "mummy blasts" perhaps a Lion-faced energy disk?

Nice work on this one. You made the character look very intense here, and I really like the redesigned claw shield. Could you give us a better look at the sword, though? I'd like to see what kind of modifications you made to it.

Not just catty, but seriously bad ass!
I liked the concept of Thundercats when I was a kid.
But as I grew older, I realized that some of the elements in the show were, how do I out this, kitschy.
Especially the names of the 'Cats themselves.
Seriously, "Loino"?
They couldn't come up with something better than that??
Enough of my rambling, this is kick ass and deserves a spot in my
