Crucifixion was a very cruel form of execution. The Romans were animal savages in that they did not abolish crucifixion until the early 4th century and not because it was sadistic, but because they became Christians and now wished to honor Jesus.Β

One probably deranged fool -now deceased- said that God pre-selected a handful of humans to be saved- and Christ forgave certain people who were on the list, before they even knew what was up. One was a thief on his cross. He said "I say to you ,today* you shall be with me in paradise".
