Nice shot, Jon. It remembers me our south cost (Algarve).

Thanks! Not as warm though I'd imagine! That said I took that in January and by the time I made it back to the car park I was so hot I bought a lemon and lime slushy!

Hi Jon, that's a really fancy rock formation, and I like that you were able to captured this beautiful yellow glow behind it. Really good timing!
About the cliffs on the right, it's true that they are a bit distracting, but here might be a very easy solution for it: Have you tried to crop your photo differently? Perhaps an aspect ratio of 4:3 or a square would do the job. The lower part of the image with the sand looks quite "normal". Since the resolution of the photo is large enough, you could try to narrow the frame and crop 2/3 of the sand off.
Other than that, let me compliment you on the HDR. You managed to not over-exaggerate the saturation, and you kept the colour scheme quite natural yet without losing details. Great!
Keep it up,
Julian

Thanks Julian,
It does work as a 1:1, I didn't consider cropping before as it was shot with my 14mm lens so any off-centre crop would be very noticeable, but a symmetrical 1:1 crop gets rid of the cliffs without causing any imbalance.

A beautiful shot of the beach with an arch. But since you requested it for feedback:
I don't like the POV because of the mountain on the right which distracts me and makes the composition narrow. Instead of cloning it out, take a few step to the right and show more of the arch. I do like the leading line of the mountain the colours and sharpness. The arch should dominate the scene, imho. Perhaps with some sunrays through it. This scene has more potential.

Thanks for the feedback, I agree about the cliffs, it would be better if they were not in the frame, I don't think I got any shots from an angle that dosn't include them but since you mention it I'm going to go back through my RAW files and see.

My pleasure. You could still clone the cliffs out. Let's hope you've got one from another angle.
