A late summer sunset over misty Rocky Mountains in Colorado. I caught a glimpse of this through my rear view mirror while driving home. I grabbed my camera and went strait back to the same spot to capture the scene before it was gone.

This shot, along with many of my recent landscape shots, was taken with my new Canon 100-400mm telephoto zoom lens. Inspired by a recent article in ND Magazine by Andy Mumford, I decided to give it a try. I can't say how excited I was to get some really interesting shots! Much of the time, I don't have time to get out into the wilderness or the mountains where I can make good use of a wide angle lens. With telephoto, I can reach past all the foreground clutter of city and cars and all that, and capture something amazing.
