Description Thought it would be at the time to post another desktop shot of mine! Not extremely much has changed compared to my last one, except for the new season-matching background , a few icons and most importantly some self-made widget shenanigans here and there.

Check out that Clock widget on Dribbble Β»

This is probably a bit of a long shot, but I'm assuming the blue phone icon is replacing the original Skype icon, and if so, do you think you could share how you changed it? Changing it within Candybar works, but then the app refuses to open. I would be really grateful if you could help, but if not or if it just works for you then it's not a problem. Thanks!

Hmm, I simply used CandyBar to change it, and everything worked fine. I'm still on Lion though, and I could imagine it's some Mountain Lion Gatekeeper-related security check that prevents the app from launching when modified. That's all I can think of though. Sorry I couldn't really help you (and for getting back to you so late)!

I think it's to do with Mountain Lion, yeah, so that's probably why I can't get it to work. Thanks for the reply though!

You can try replacing the SkypeBlue.icns inΒ Applications/Skype.app/Contents/Resources, then restart your dock. This way works for me

Thanks! I totally would if there was an application allowing to place HTML-based widgets on the desktop and I wouldn't have to "misuse" Bowtie to get this to work…

Nice shot. Could you share your Bowtie theme please?

Can you share the geektool resources?

I would, if I was actually using GeekTool (which I don't because it's very annoying to configure and quite restrictive in its features). Instead, this is a Bowtie theme as large as my entire screen, which contains all of those widgets. It's a somewhat quick-and-dirty solution, but it works.
