Riven wan't that "SUPER, FIRST-PERSON, METAL GEAR!!!!" game that everyone loved. It was a vision, it was to confuse you, and make you THINK. I'd be pretty scared and unmanageable if I was dropped on an island, stuck in a cage, and an assassin kills some guy who takes your book. I mean, when look at this game, your not looking at some mystery-game or a 3D world of wonder. You're at both. This game was so great, you had to think like an archaeologist. For example; the sacrifice ring is a puzzle, a person would sit on the tight rope, pulled down, a trap door opens, a man at the bottom uses a machine to disturb the monster, then the monster comes up and eats the man. The world it self is a mystery to unravel, and an expedition into pure science fiction.

Thank you for the kind words! I once did a quick "tutorial" but I don't think it's very good, and far from exhaustive. But it shows a bit about how I am using the tools for my maps: mystbook.net/pages/progress/20…

This map taught me more than that device on plateau island.

Wish I had this on my wall when I was playing this game a few years ago. Very good!

Great Job mate. I have similar plans in plain pen-n-paper version. Cool.

If I wasn't seeing it for myself right before me now I wouldn't believe the level of detail in this! Outstanding!
