Every sound made him jump. He normally didn't mind small sounds like thunder or animal calls, but that was often because he was in the arena surrounded by walls and or fencing. Here, Seth was completely unprotected. Every twist and turn of the path led the spy to another unfamiliar section of this God-forsaken forest. Travis wouldn't be scared. Thought the Frenchmen, straitening his back to stop from looking weak and vulnerable. "But I'm not him," said the man aloud rubbing his arms with his gloved hands.
Snow and rain weren't the best combination . The slush under Seth's shoes caused him to slip and skid if he tried to go any faster than a slow, dragging, walk. He had always been told that he would go crazy if he started doing that, but what else was there to do other than walk in circles for next few hours?
