Description 14 February 2024 was Ash Wednesday, Valentine's Day, and Election day for Indonesian. I didn't really participate in these 3 activities, however, I got some insight over the election.

This supposed to be my 4th vote, but since I stay in Bali, and I don't really want to bother myself with all those paper works and bureaucracy stuffs, for the first time in my life, I didn't vote.
However, after Ahok, the previous Jakarta governor found guilty and sent to jail, I already lost hope over fairness of Indonesian politics. Corruption, collusion, and nepotism are blood that stream over the veins of this nation. Why hassle myself anyway?

In 2014 I was naive and got a great hope that Indonesia can finally bring up fairness in politics, I was looking up to the figure of Jokowi, and all branding he sold.
In 2019, I already give up all those hope, due to Ahok's incident, but I still vote for him. Then he made Prabowo his minister of Defense, and Prabowo accept it. Practically we didn't really have prominent opposition, as PDIP, Jokowi party that time also won the legislative vote.
Jokowi, a great politican, with all those branding and persona gather everyone under his arms.

In 2023, Jokowi backed up Prabowo by put his son, Gibran, the 36 years old mayor of Solo on duty as Prabowo's vice president. The constitutional court change those electoral requirements to made his way for vice presidency. Is it dirty? Is it fair? I got older, lose my innocence, become apathic and don't care about such stuffs anymore.

Hours after the election, Prabowo won the quick count, he's gonna be the 8th president of Indonesia, just like everyone expected.
As the current president got his back, what on earth can make him lose? He want it since 15 years ago, and finally he made it

Some people said if I don't vote, the system will put my vote to Prabowo. Well, If I have to vote, I intended to vote him anyway, so, let's say that this "system" help me to "vote" Without me got to through all these "democracy hassle".

For a me and a lot of people, it's just gonna be like Jokowi "third terms", so how bad it can be?
