1 painting with multiple texture studies
if you wonder about the brush that i use, i use the basic airbrush only to finish all of it. i think airbrush is very versatile and the one that really help me to achieve oil painting look.
This painting is inspired by Reclining Venus, a theme that repeated constantly by multiple artist during the renaissance era, like Titian and Giorgione. I'm always mesmerized with the 'pastoral idyll' that these renaissance artists use as the background, and want to do some experiment, by change Venus figure with a stocky male. With this art, I want to show that 'beauty' can shown through various body type, not only the muscular / hourglass / skinny type that endorsed by the hollywood capitalism.
