Description
Found on virtually every world with an established cultural system, these terminals or information booths can be found in various designs, but they all share the same purpose - that of acting as a central information dispensing service. Typically, the terminal is part of a network and can be found in major population centers or where there are commercial facilities, stores, or services. The user merely has to approach it, touch the display or speak an inquiry and the systems A.I. connects with the planetary databases, or if necessary the galactic network to provide answers.

Information is subsequently presented in voice and visual output and if necessary as images verifying information. If the user requires that information as a download, all they have to do is physically place their own communications device in physical contact with the terminals screen and it is automatically transferred over for a small fee. If the user walks away, the terminal determines this and goes into standby mode until the next inquiry.
