You know I'm all for learning material but I haven't found a book that I found all that helpful when it comes to inking. They seem to be out dated in terms of style and technique. I think as far as inking goes the best way to learn is by watching. You get a better understanding of how lines are created. I grew leaps and bounds when I was able to sit with Chance Wolf (the guy I learned from) and watch his hand movement, how fast he threw a line or when he chose to pull a line. All that stuff matters and I don't think a book teaches that.
Most of all with inking you have to stay constantly curios and a patient. Keep an open mind and try many different things and tools.

Well I thought about that for a minute but shitting ones self is never fun, so I settle for just taking my time.
Thanks.

I worked on it in between my other pages over a course of like three days I think.

I think I would have done the same thing.. xD;; but you did a great job! BADASS, is all I can think of to say. How long do you think it took to finish the job?

Typically I work faster than that. I don't want to be miss leading. It's a bit of a stretch to be able to spend three days on a page. What i've learned over the years is you have to pick your battles. The realistic goal is one page a day.
When I was new to inking I remember being at Todd McFarlane's house and I had explained how I was getting frustrated that I wasn't fast enough. He told me it was because my rolodex wasn't full yet so to speak. Meaning over the years you build up in your knowledge how you are going to handle certain things and inking almost becomes an afterthought.

Ooh, that'll be a tricky one for me. I'm intolerant to caffiene. Luckily I subsist on about 3 hours sleep a night and I enjoy drawing detail. I just spend so long inking it that it becomes a chore, hence why I will NEVER be an inker, hahahaha!
I think I'm intolerant to caffiene because my body makes its own...freaking insomnia sometimes.
