Fan-freakin-tastic! I am so glad that someone took the creepy edgy Heath Ledger joker CHARACTER, and applied it to a more traditional joker, instead of drawing Heath Ledger. This is totally kick ass, I love the detailing and the traditional looking characters. Plus I'm always a sucker for greyscale, especially if it's watercolor.

Thanks. I wanted to stay away from the Heath joker, just felt like it would have made the piece a bit gimmicky. I love the greyscale watercolor look as well, it's fun to do.

I agree, I think that greyscale, especially watercolor, is much more detail oriented rather than color for color's sake, so you can add a great deal of emotion and detail without it looking tacky. Yea, on the Heath joker note. I think it was a fantastic film, I think he did an unbelievable job of bringing the real face and persona of the joker to the masses, however I think that people are just assuming it was all his idea, rather than decades of character development by some of the most amazing artists are writers of all time. This is probably the best Batman illustration that I've ever seen. Great work.
