I watched "Space: 1999" (in Germany the show was called "Mondbasis Alpha 1") as a kid and discovered other roles of Martin Landau much later. For instance in "North by Northwest" or "Cleopatra". A hero of my childhood.

I watched the show (after I'd seen the comic) and like you, discovered him there first. As a 'grown-up' I love his film stuff, but he'll always be Commander Koenig to me!
