I find in quite a few songs "traces" of other songs. But I will listen out for that when I put "Outside" next time. Although I adore Bowie's unique voice, I totally love the intrumental album "All Saint's" - "Sense of Doubt" for me literally conjures up an image of Berlin, rainy night, the overground tube going across the city etc. And it continues with "Neukölln". It was sheer genius to use his music as the soundtrack for "Christiane F." (Wir Kinder von Bahnhof Zoo).

I honestly have never listened to that one, I'll have to check it out. I love albums that remind you of certain times or places.
So cool.

Outside is among my personal Top 5 of the Bowie collection I have. :3
And your idea for this piece of art turned out brilliantly. I love the energetic feel of it

Thank you, much appreciated. What I found interesting was I listened to Outside a fair bit while doing this and I swear i can hear the beginnings of Blackstar in it.

You're welcome. Hmmm... I'm still having a hard time listening to the full Black Star album. Maybe I should give it another try, though. What you observed there is very interesting and in a certain way, it's probably something he might have done intentionally.

I know right?! Totally underrated, I love the whole concept album approach he took with it.

Totally! I still don't know all of Bowie's back catalogue (still "learning"), especially the earlier stuff, I "discovered" him around "Ashes to Ashes" and there are songs I like a lot less than others but he was always unusual and always ahead with what he did, musically and visually, and in the last 15 years his were the only albums I bought straight upon on release or pre-ordered.

Nice, I completely agree with you, he's honestly had more than a few 'not so great' tunes. I really love his live albums too, especially The Reality Tour double disc. He brought such energy to his catalogue.
