I would love to one day to learn how to do this scratchbuilding. I'm just barely scratching the surface of actually customizing models.

It doesn't really require too much technical skill tbh, it's really more like sculpting but you're using knives and glues to get the shape that you want.

Why this posted here and not where I was writing it is beyond me. Drugs. We'll go with that theory.

Wait, was this done in papercraft?

Nope it's made from styrene sheets(basically just plastics sheets that come in various thicknesses)

Wow. Oddly enough, I have a fat roll of polystyrene I was going to, and still am going to, use for a costume.
Perhaps I can replace the ANNR that my White Glint lost.

Wait polystyrene and styrene are not the same. Styrene is like the plastic used in atm or credit cards. Lots of hobby stores have them.

Polystyrene is plastic they use for pudding cups and the Yoplait packages.
I'm not sure if it's the same stuff, although styrene sounds stronger and stiffer.

Yeah and it's a pretty decent left arm weapon too, but a little heavy.

Now I'm curious. New technology? You're not saying you actually got your hands on some computerized molding/cutting hardware?
I want five.

Well not exactly, but the technology is now accesible for anyone with a credit card or paypal [link] . Now it's just a matter of having a decent 3d mesh, convert it into the appropriate format, upload, then pay.

Funny thing is I actually got a comission where the Mesh was intended to be 3D printed and I got links to a company that actually recomends using blender as the CAD software for 3D printing mesh.

Which company? So far I only know Shapeways. Also I used Netfabb to convert my blender mesh into stl files and to scale them in the right size. I got a price estimate too when I uploaded my mesh to their website [link] .I'm too busy to continue with my 3D printing plans because of my annoying schedule(I was hoping to get some samples printed before the end of the year). I'll probably go back to it in december to january.

The company was called 3D print UK [link] They provide not only printing services but also had a list of recomended softwares which includes a STL checker to look for faults in the mesh. Also how long will you be around? I wanted to ask yuo something in a note

Yeah I've thought about it before, I just don't want to be seen wearing something like that lol. I prefer something like the ninja in metal gear solid.
