Not a whole lot has changed with these guys, they're some of the villains in the Ulrath world (that gun-fantasy concept).
I still really like their core idea of the Unity. They're basically fantasy-magic-atheists in a heavily magic world. They completely dismiss every notion of free will and enforce it in their regimented government and view all things as tools to be used for the greater good (their own system of thought being the natural and optimal outcome of this systemic-driven world ... in their view). Naturally, these are the types of villains that are designed purely to loathe and hate ... and have really awesome guns and tech and stuff.

I oughta draw more of these guys some time.
