Love her physical appearance, expression, and armor and weapon customization.  One can almost see how evil has twisted her from who she could have been, and it is heartbreaking.  Truthfully, it is characters like this who make hating evil so hard because one wishes she could be good instead while still knowing she likely has a long history of choosing evil when she could have gone down another path.

Hopefully, she will be captured.  After a few years imprisoned by some good or neutral paladin order maybe she will repent and seek to use her skills to make up for her crimes.

Finally, six years after falling in love with this piece I am going to be able to use it to show off a principal villain in the first adventure of our next D&D campaign. (And if you're not a D&D nerd like me then please simply note that this is high praise. )

Thanks for posting it: I love it.

I was looking today through your gallery again, I really love your work, and I have to say that this picture is one of my favourites. She looks fearsome, self confident and charismatic - this is a villain I would be really afraid to challenge. Great job!

you don't see chicks in armor and having magical abilities everyday. I'm liking the detail in the armor and mace, lovely coloring

Wow! I wouldn't mess with her! Great job, armour is hard to do and her expression is perfectly battle-ready. ^^

I love the armour design and the red smoke coming from the mace adds a nice sense of evil.

Yeah! you keep rocking that way Jon!
It looks awsome, the colours are great, it doesnt look like a digital pinting.
The crimson red colour is megnificent, and the movement of the piece is very well managed.

I really like women in heavy armor!

Thank you!

Its funny, I don't really mind if my stuff does look digital - I just paint naturally. It much be some kind of "samurai ready for death" thing. Or not.

This was the first piece that jumped out at me when Wizards posted the art gallery for the book. Really, just a fantastic job, and it's always lovely to see a female character in full protective armor.

I wish there were smiths making armor like this, especially the greaves. I keep an eye on renaissance faires and the like, and while there's plenty of folk doing fantasy blades, armor seems to be very limited.
