He's like a wizard! It looks dangerous though, aren't those guys afraid to stand so close?

I've seen a few tutorials for this effect- and each one of them presents sucha spectacular outcome. Your's is certainly no exception! I especially like your composition of this piece- having the person spinning the fire in an elevated position is a very effective technique. It really allows for the sparks to travel a very open pathway.
Did you use burning steel wool stuffed into a whisk on the end of a string to create this effect?

Oh, thank you so much! I hope to get a better camera and perhaps even a lens or two. Then I have hopes to improve a bit more, but I am really enjoying the journey.

Thanks, yeah I am probably going to get a Canon and deciding which one. I really like full frame, but even though they continue to drop in price, they are still too expensive, so I am looking at the D7. The D7 is a half frame but very durable and excellent quality. I understand they are coming out with a new model in the Spring, so that is likely when I will make the jump to DSLRs and start with a couple nice lenses. In the mean time I will continue to work on my camera and photoshop skills.
