Ilustration for SWITCH Magazine, when we see the actor Sam Riley as Ian Curtis (1956-1980).We can know the sad and melancolic life of the young english vocalist Ian who was the lyricist and occasional guitarist of the band Joy Division, which he helped form in 1977 in Manchester, England.
His passion for music led him to work in a record shop for a short time.
The film "Control" received high critical acclaim due in no small part to Riley's performance, which won him a selection of awards including the British Independent Film Award for "Most Promising Newcomer" a BAFTA "Rising Star" nomination;and a Mark Kermode nod for Best Actor 2007.

good job, beautifully done. but unfortunately this photo is not of Ian Curtis but Sam Riley, the actor who made ian's character in Control, a biographic movie about the career of Ian Curtis. the actor really looks like ian, but they're not the same. i'm a huge fan of both and I really recommend the film to fans of the band, it give us a totally different perspective of his life, is incredibly amazing.

I believe that is Sam Riley's depiction of Ian Curtis in the film Control, which is absolutely heart breaking. Very amazing though, you're very talented.

If you look up the film "Control" you will find that Sam Riley is the extremely talented British actor that played Ian Curtis. Control is based on the book that Ian's wife, Deborah Curtis, wrote called "Touching from a Distance"
This picture is quite amazing, and it looks like Sam Riley's depiction of Ian Curtis. You seem slightly offended, maybe, by my comment. And I hope you aren't, I meant it all in the best way possible.

Vaya, la verdad no se qué decir, pero la verdad se me hacía muy mala onda favoritearte sin haberte comentado. La verdad no soy muy fan de Joy Division, pero algo se (digo, soy más fan de New Order), pero acerca Ian Curtis mis respetos... lo mismo con tu obra gráfica.

Ah, ya!! Acabo de ver el video que me mandaste y SÍ lo recuerdo. De hecho me impresionó mucho de chavito. Qué trabajo combinar a la exactitud el dibujo con la foto! Aún a la fecha se ve muy bien hecho.
La parodia de Family Guy está magnífica, me estaba meando de la risa! lo mejor es que les quedó igualita la animación!!

La Secundaria y la Prepa la cursé en el colegio Syracuse, en el Edo. de México. Ahorita esa escuela ya no existe. La universidad la Cursé en la UAM azcapotzalco.
Ah, y Lucilla Godoy es un Seudónimo, es sólo un nombre ficticio de alguien que escribe temas de SCI-FI (especialmente de Star Wars) en la revista Cinemania (donde por cierto, colaboré de 1999 al 2001), pero cuyo verdadero nombre nunca será revelado.
Por lo tanto, el parentezco de apellidos fué coincidencia. cómo vex?
