Description
It all started with a few doodles. I was thinking about another property I would love to see as an animated feature, and I remembered The Spirit by Will Eisner!! The mockup was quickly thrown together from my really rough doodles. I pretty much knew what I wanted pretty quickly with this one so my exploration with the characters started right away. It's also cool to note that Brad Bird wanted to make a Spirit feature long ago and even animated a few pencil tests that you can easily find on YouTube. Check out! I had to re-create the logo for The Spirit in vector form and then extruded the letters for the 3D effect. I can now place them in the composition and then add colors and textures to them.
