So a few days ago I was trying to figure out what I wanted to draw, and I decided to make some simple drawings of characters who I want in Super Smash Bros. (And some who I wouldn't mind seeing playable.)First up, Geno. While he's not exactly one of my most wanted, I think he'd be a pretty cool addition. (It'd be nice to have some Mario RPG representation.) And he's also one of the highest requested characters among Smash fans, so I wanted to draw Geno first with all of his supporters in mind.

Well, yes and no. Wouldn't an opinion be something like "I don't think this character SHOULD be in Smash" or something? Saying they will or won't seems more like an assertion.

I don't have any personal attachment or desire for this character. I've never played Super Mario RPG, I haven't gotten to know and love this guy, and I really can't say I want him in the game at all. Not that I want him not to be in the game, I'm just not gunning for him at all.
That said, I'm pretty sure he's a shoo-in and Sakurai is gonna make a lot of people happy when he's finally revealed.
Now that I think about it, making him a part of the main roster is actually not the smartest move. They could make so much extra cash by adding him as DLC. Most folks would buy all the extra content anyway, but someone like Geno would probably give it just a little extra nudge.

I haven't played Super Mario RPG, so I don't know much about him, either. But I feel that he has a good shot. I mean, Sakurai is aiming to please a lot of Smash fans with Ultimate.
About DLC, I can sorta see that happening with Geno. Mewtwo was one of the most requested characters for 3DS/Wii U and he was the first DLC character, so I can see that happening again.

But even besides the demand, Sakurai himself has wanted Geno since Brawl but of course Square Enix isn't always the nicest girl in high school if you know what I'm saying.
But now they have a character of their own in Smash and they were even willing to lend the rights for a Mii costume, so if not now, when?
Also I'm fairly certain if he's in, he'll be part of the last big reveal of base game fighters before launch.

Well, we might find out soon. I think there's another Smash Direct coming November 1st.
