Next on the list, the 8 legged rivals of the Inklings, Octolings! Ever since the introduction of Echo Fighters, I've been rooting for the Octolings. They'd be perfect as an Echo! (Heck, they're basically echoes in the game they're in!) Although they could also work as semi-clones... I mean, there are 4 weapon types from Splatoon that aren't represented yet. (Chargers, Splatlings, Duelies and Splatbrellas.) Either way, with the Inklings in, it'd be neat to have their rivals in as well. Woomy vs. Veemo.Related content

Octolings are Spirits. 'Wished they were playable.

Well, we don't know if Spirits mean that a character is 100% out of the running, but yeah, it's shame that they're not playable. I'm pretty happy with what we got, though. I mean, it's hard to complain about a roster that has every previously playable character returning alongside Inklings, Ridley, Dark Samus, King K. Rool, and Incineroar.
Oh, and of course Piranha Plant.
