What always bugs me about these kick-ass stuff, like temples and stuff, on mountain tops and other difficult to reach places, are the logistics.
And saying 'magic' is just as bull as saying 'pyramids' and 'aliens'.

How about built centuries ago but pieces of the mountain have fallen off over time?

Then it's very, VERY great craftmanship of the temples builders. Because nothing short of a Titanomachy could do that without the use of tectonics.
