So here is Lyra and Bon Bon on their way to a concert where Lrya will be preforming! Looks like Bon Bon is saying a few words of encouragement to Lyra! "Seriously you don't need 'hands' to preform your best!"Ah, yes after weeks of drawing hands and feet for a contest [link] all I thought about of was Lyra! How she can be portrayed as being obsessive with hands, reminded me of myself during the tedious areas of the project! Therefore I had to draw my first Lyra as soon as I could! Turned out very well!

I couldn't help noticing the blue and yellow curtains in the background. Was that a symbolic reference to the Human Rights Campaign? I guess in this case it would be Pony Rights Campaign. Or was it just a lucky accident? It looks cool either way

At long last, Lyra performs her art. 'bout time.
I do like the fuzzy quality of their coats. The hair works comparatively well, too. However, the house behind them lacks perspective. It looks like they're right in front of it, and they're also two stories high. Attack of the giant mares!
Basically, without the background, or with a simpler or borrowed one, this picture would work better. I suggest taking the background separately and making it to your desired specifications, then reuniting the image. As is, the house is a bit flat, aside from the whole looks-like-it's-right-next-to-them. Nevertheless, I like the shading you did on the house, the small shadows and difference in tones is a good thing.
