wow, on one hand her plant based magic seems to thrive on anger and feelings of...mmm i want to say jealousy and self loathing, things one would not imagine for someone who uses plant magic to fuel there power on.... on the other hand he did not tell her to use the light inside her, to use positive emotions.... He scolds her without justification from Persephone's view, however if he doesn't want her to end up like himself, one that is loathed for their power and abilities then anger shouldn't be the fuel so i also get why he lashed out a bit.
