I've read it had a major flaw. They had to have the gun barrel level to load a shell. That means they had to re-aim the gun after every shot.

The first tank kit I had was of this model back in the mid 50s.

I'll bet it was a 1/48 scale Aurora model JS3, very similar. Only model available at that time. I had it too, wish I still did. fun little kits those.
