Description Following my recent praise of my Aquaman screening, I have seen a shit load of reports of people saying Aquaman has "killed the connected format" for the DC Extended Universe or "DC Extended Universe is dead and Aquaman confirms this"

Am going to make this clear and simple to everyone, All the rumors is absolutely fucking bullshit. If the DC Extended Universe is dead, then Jason Momoa or Amber Heard would NOT be Aquaman or Mera. Also not to mention in the film (WARNING SPOILER), Mera has mentioned a reference from Justice League 2017 about Aquaman defeating the Invasion Of Earth from STEPPENWOLF, who was the villian played by Ciaran Hinds in the 2017 superhero film.

For now, DC is going to just stick to solo films with references and connections to the DCEU timeline, until they are ready to bring a teamup again. It is all connected still but loosely, just like Bruce Timm's DC Animation Universe and the DC Animated Movie New 52 Universe with James Tucker. Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder (Original creators) of the DC Extended Universe are still producers or executive producers for the universe. This will not change anytime soon, Zack Snyder will contiune to work with DC as Toby Emmerich said for WB last year. Zack Snyder is also set to possibley co-write the story for Wonder Woman 1984 once again. Sources like CBR, Fandomwire and more sources needs to stop reporting such bullshit and man up and face the facts. It doesn't matter if the DCEU has had mixed-negative reviews, they are a connected universe regardless.

So to answer the question above. Is Aquaman connected to Justice League, Batman V Superman, Man Of Steel and Wonder Woman? - YES. END OF STORY.

Actually WB is going to focus less on a shared universe now thanks to the success of Aquaman. This was News just this past week.

This news was 2018, I am aware, however it is undeniable Aquaman is still apart of its BVS storyline.

Oh I'm not saying they are not going to still be connected movies. Just they aren't going to be rushing into another Justice League anytime soon.
I know Aquaman was still part of the DCEU. Just from Mera talking about Steppenwolf. Even though I believe it's a new timeline of events. As The Batman will probably be a brand new Batman that will fall into the new timeline. And we will probably get a new Superman.

It's just that they are going to focus on building things and characters on their own for a while.

Right for Superman, there will be no new Superman as Cavill's Manager said hes not going anywhere, Cavill even expressed to stay for the franchise.

They ain't focusing on things at all. Toby Emmerich explicitly said this. As said my latest report about Zack Snyder wanted solo films before JL, DCEU is officially dead and for the most part, in my opinion, not building up to anything is just shit, because were never gunna get a live action franchise like DCAU or.. MCU..

NO Connectivity = No Darkseid, no Superman Vs Darksied.

I don't really buy anything Snyder says. Because I've heard lots of different stories.

Like he had always just planned 5 movies. Man of Steel, Dawn of Justice, Justice League, Man of Steel 2 and Justice League 2.

Then some years ago he said Man of Steel wasn't even planned as part of a shared universe.

I don't believe they aren't building to something. Just going to put most focus on stand alone stories for a while. Aquaman proved it was still a universe. Shazam! has nods to the others being in the world. From Superman, Batman and even a Aquaman shirt. Until I see the final product of Shazam! and those things aren't in there. Then I'll worry.

Heck we will more then likely be getting to see a Live-Action Darkseid in the New Gods movie.

I am aware of this but lately, Snyder has spoke a lot about DCEU and am gunna be honest, I believe him. Its not very common for directors to speak freely.

The new gods movie is something interesting, but seeing Darkseid in it just for like what? 10 minutes? isn't something I want.

I liked Snyder's work with the DC movies. Dawn of Justice is still my favorite comic book movie of all time.
And found out last night he helped Wan shape Aquaman. Helped Wan remove what Whedon had done to the character in Justice League.
But he has told so many different things about what he had planned or didn't have planned. I just don't know what to believe with him.

Also never know how much Darkseid would be in New Gods. But if they show him, then they will be using him later on.
This whole shared universe thing is a big misunderstanding. Yes, WB is less focused on the shared universe thing as they found out they can still have it be a shared universe with just little nods with Aquaman. And yet still have each movie stand on their own right.

Also Shazam! Director - David F. Sandberg said this:
“I mean, it’s such a separate film that I don’t think it changed anything really,” Sandberg said. “It’s very different from Justice League. It’s still the same universe but just has a very different tone.” The lighter tone of Shazam! evolved organically from the premise. “It’s not dark and gritty,” Sandberg said, and why would it be? This is the story of a 14-year-old boy who can instantly grow into being a superhero (while still being his teenage self on the inside).

Wonder Woman 84 is still part of the universe, because Jenkins had just said "Steve's return makes perfect sense."
So what I get from that is, well if it was just a brand new movie, then you really wouldn't have to fall back on the first Wonder Woman movie.
Could just start fresh from 84 on. But since it is marked as a return. Then it is a sequel set in the same DCEU.

Really all I've been saying is, I think people have took what was said about WB not focusing on a shared universe out of context.

If anything I think this comes from how the tone is shifting from how they were from Snyder's movies.

But what they don't understand is that was always the plan.

If anything this is just the new age for the DCEU. The films before 'Aquaman' act as the birthing of an idea that began with 'Man of Steel' and ended with 'Justice League'. They brought out the idea of the superheroes and started off a new age of heroes.

Starting from 'Aquaman' the films essentially explore the new age, the prototype version of Aquaman introduced in 'Justice League' becoming the full fledged Aquaman in his film. His mythology explored and origin explained there after his introduction. Then we get 'Shazam' where superheroes have already begun to become a true sensation.

And from evidence seen in Freddy Freeman's room the events of 'Man of Steel' are documented in the newspapers Freddy collected. Detailing the invasion of Zod, the debate over Superman, and his subsequent return.

Literally every DCEU film has been a continuation of the previous one (even Wonder Woman) and Aquaman makes this clear as fuck. Why is this even in debate?

Thats what I want to know. So many people and sources say "Oh DCEU is dead" "Oh, everything is going away from Snyder..." LOL

Snyder is still a producer/executive producer for nearly every upcoming DC Film except Shazam (Since thats a different team)
