-Game Boy Color Commercials

Welcome back, folks. Today, we got another amazing Video Game Console episode of Logo Bunch requested by Aoshi2012 on Furaffinity, who is a really big fan of Nintendo consoles. Speaking of which, let's start off with the first console in this episode. You all remember the Nintendo Game Boy, right. It was one of the most popular handheld consoles of all time. In fact, I already discussed it on the 50th episode of Logo Bunch . In 1998, the makers at Nintendo figured that there's something missing that makes it cooler, and that is the lack of COLOR. They already knew other game companies used color for their handheld consoles back when the Game Boy was released, so they figured that they could finally have their take on it now. And thus, the Game Boy Color was released, the second popular handheld game system ever made by Nintendo. Now, of course, the Game Boy Color is compatible with all of the original Game Boy games enhanced with color (not all of them), but it also has  a library of exclusive GBC titles (you know when you see them in clear cartridges) such as, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Wario Land 2 & 3, Donkey Kong Country for the GBC, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX, Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Ages (Kinda like the Pokemon Games), Kirby Tilt n' Tumble, Pokemon Gold, Silver, & Crystal, Pokemon Pinball, Pokemon Trading Card Game, and among others. This continued the population of the Game Boy, meaning that the Game Boy is UNSTOPPABLE! Even with the Game Boy Advance, it still continues to live on to that reign! This and the original Game Boy is a perfect must have for your Nintendo collection! BUT, even though the Game Boy Color was legendary in late 90s, it certainly wasn't the FIRST colorized portable console ever made. In our second part of the episode, let's take a step back to the early 90s when Nintendo's competitor Sega decided to take their step into the portable gaming market with their latest invention: the Sega Game Gear. Like with the SNES and the Genesis (Mega Drive), the Game Gear is also competitive against the Game Boy. While the Game Boy was in black and white, Sega knew that the Game Gear was a superior option since it's one of first portable game systems with a backlit screen and in color, alongside the Atari Lynx. Of course, Nintendo knew about this and took a step in the right direction with the Game Boy Color (Which I mentioned previously), which made Sega and Atari fans turn their heads. As for me, I grew with the Game Boy Color, although, I'm not familiar on what the Game Gear has to offer. The only games I remember that the Game Gear brought to the table was, of course, Sonic games, because of Sonic Adventure DX for GameCube. I remember Sonic titles counting the portable versions of Sonic 1, 2, Spinball, and Dr. Robotnik's (Eggman's) Mean Bean Machine, as well as exclusive titles like Sonic Chaos, Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic Blast, Sonic Drift 1 & 2, Sonic Labyrinth -_-, as well as Tails Skypartol and Tails Adventure. While I was searching more facts about the Game Gear itself, I notice one interesting fact. Here's the catch: It's a portable Sega Master System. That's right, folks. Even though the Sega Master System was popular in the European countries, Sega usually ports Master System games (not all of them) onto the Game Gear for the Japanese and American audience. What a catch, eh? Nowadays, with the addition of the Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Sony PSPs, etc., the Sega Game Gear is an interesting piece of history since it had a good run, a GREAT run, in fact. Though, it's still possible to get the games and the system in your collection. ^_^ With that said, that ends today's episode of Logo Bunch. I hope you enjoyed it. If you love this episode and Logo Bunch in general, make sure you give it a thumbs up, leave a comment in the comments section down below, and follow my adventures in Deviantart and FurAffinity. See you next time and keep on gaming!
