Shimmeree is a custom pony which I have had in my idea book for years now and finally I have the time to do my dream projects, so Shimmeree was born. She is my version of a showgirl/carousel pony. I am so happy with how she turned out and that she is my first project to kick off 2014. I will be working through my idea books this year and not taking commissions. She would be an absolute stunning piece for any collection, but make sure you have somewhere special for her to stand because she looks gorgeous from any angle.

Shimmeree started her life as a fashion size Rarity pony. All factory paint and hair was removed to create a blank canvas for me to play with.

She was rooted extra thickly with several different types of hair and blended well so that hair is silky and multidimensional. Hair types and colors are: RetroDolls Viper nylon, Dollyhair Starlight nylon, Dollyhair Forget Me Knot nylon, RetroDollsUS (52”) True Blue Nylon, RestoreDoll Nylon (don’t remember the number), RetroDolls Cyclamen KK, RetroDollsUS Grape Soda Monofiber, and RetroDolls Cobalt Fizz Saran. It put into a complicated twisted updo, with the back of her mane left long. Her hair adornments include numerous Swarovski bead and pearl dangles, pink Swarovski crystal dangles, a large hand jeweled (by me) metal dangle in the back, and numerous crystals afffixed into place. She also has several feathers which are removable. The rest of her hairstyle is not removable.

Her saddle is sculpted with apoxie sculpt and adorned with metal embellishments. All paintwork done by hand.
