Kadabra are rare.Once thought to be a legendary kadabras have been the talk of many native kanto stories. In the group of some of the most powerful psychic species it is a known favorite of psychic trainers.
As they come from a cold area its now enlarged tail acts as a store for warmth and fat. Not much is known about these illusive pokemon as not many have been truly studied, but they are supposidly a very distant relitive to the legendary mew, but there is no substantial evidence to support this theory.
Its 'mousache' once acted as a defence against snow getting in their nose etc, but as their powers grew over a long period of time it became useless as their psycic powers could easily sheild them from the snow.
They are found in kanto but are even rarer than their prevo Abra, there are stories of a distant place where they orginally came from where they live in plenty... but are these are just stories?

You know in the Pokedex it even was said,that a boy once woke up and had transformed into a Kadabra(i almost typed Yogurt XD) that would explain where they get the spoons though .....probably just an urban legend but still...

Looks like the thing took a gunshot to the forehead... Whoa, never thought of the tail as fat. I thought it was furry like a fox, but that makes more sense, as abra's bald (how can it survive in the cold?).
Where's his spoon?
Ugh, I may be sounding nasty and critical here, but this is actually cool. I do like the look in the eyes. Kadabra may look less tangible than some other pokemon, but it isn't bad.

what makes the loch ness monster a legend? its a legend because stories are told of it and people think it exsists but its never confirmed, as soon as it is confirmed it ceases to be so, you see?
lol it does look like a gunshot! yer its tail is like a heat and fat storing body part, like a hump is to a camel. Thats also how they stay warm. if you go to cold areas, even though its cold, during the day it becomes very hot because the sun reflects off the snow, but at night its so cold you can die.
His spoons are not something they have in the wild lol, they became a novelty when used in circuses etc, a cleche that has stuck with them, like the seal and a ball. i still cant see how they can balance a ball on their nose so well, they dont have them in nature?

Ha ha, I guess the seal/ball thing is a good way to describe it. I remember when I always pictured seals with balls on their noses.
As for the legend thing, I'm still a little confused. How can you be wrong about something being a cryptid? People believe Nessie is real, so if Nessie is, then what was anyone wrong about?
...Or are you saying some people thought kadabra was just a story?

no you miss understand me. There are a minority of people who beleive nessie is real, and preach its real but have no proof, so until its proved to be real everyone else sees it as a creature of legend. If nessy was caught in a net or something and studied, then it would no longer be called a legendary creature, because there would be hard proof of its exsistance you understand? same with kadabra, there was no hard proof of its exsistance, even though a minority beleived it exsisted, until it was caught and shown to the world to be real.

In design terms, im honestly not sure, just an imaginative creation i think. I looked at bushbabys etc, that sort of family for inspiration

Ive been training PokeMon vor over 8 Years (and no end in Sight with new Editions coming up all the Time) but I always thought the PokeDex Infos are too short and didnt sey anything at all but what you write for yor Drawings (wich are great) is so plausible and sounds so real!

i totally have an alakazam. i wont go on a rant about his stats and move set but he is amazing XD.
