Description Today's work. I'm forging 5160 spring steel into an Italian long sword.

ma took the pic when I was working at the fort. We are having a ren fair in September so I am making a pair of swords to fight with. Bad ass right. They will have tiger maple handles and mild steel guards and pommels.

cool! I used to do swordfighting, but I had to stop due to an injury... Any photos of the finished work?

That ren fair fell through. The blade is finished. I'm waiting for the heat treat. We practice Talhoffer fight book and the like.
