finally after all this time I can finished this picture,kimono motifs and the flowers made by myself =-=; *really time consuming* ..lucky the deadline is extended
oh yes .. I made this for this contest [link]
the theme is Japanese culture, arabic, or india,
the entries from the other contestants are also very good

thank you, when i read at wikipedia, geisha should be wearing an elegant colour for its senior, and oiran use a very vibrant colour, well actualy i have searched photos for reference in kimono motive, its titled oiran and didn't thought that its different from geisha
yeah so change it is a must

Beautiful atmosphere, I love the way you place her in a soothing sunny day. The perspective is incredible, looks as some stranger is staring at her hidden in the tres. The shadows of the trees are very well done also

I don't really know what exactly about this piece is so striking. Maybe the colours, or the composition, or the intricate details. Whatever it is, it's superb.

it's really beautiful, well deserving of a DD! i love the way the angle is form top to bottom, so the main focus is on her. i especially like the way u blur the flowers on left so to give viewers a near to far feel! the more i look, the more details appear,like the lovely curling smoke form pipe, and the shadow of cherry blossoms falling into the room, as well as the naturally placed petals on the roof.

she don't wear her Kimono so open an show many of her Body.
She looks like an Kurtisane, they wearing so colourfull things. more dekorate and they had the nodal of the Obi to her front.

geisha do use colourfull kimono..but its only for young geisha or aprentice, but actually i use those collour just too show that she's the "limelight" or means the "focus",the "attraction" to make her like saying "hey, look at me" means she's a prostitute, try to get people atention by siting in front of the window
I mean, she's showing off her beauty by using that sriking color to attract customer, that's what i mean
I do not want to draw a real geisha, it showed by her hair
there is no real geisha with red hair isn't? I just wanted to give a touch of fantasy that's all, to make her looks fabulous like a goddess ..

Geisha is not a Kurtisane, the Kurtisane is the people to sitting in the fornt of a window!
The Imperator had say, that kurtisane more of all more collour more decorate more about everything, cause Kurtisanes and geisha often mistaken!
Kurtisanes don't go intoa school for the traditionell thing,they the lovers fromthe man, geisha's want to booked by the wifes from the man or the wifes take with a Geisha the evening.

But, it is okay, i like the collour and a Geisha, they is going from the Hanamachi,they can wearing this so, you had show.^^, but she don't do this job then, she must be search an new job and can't go back to the hanamachi jet!
