Description
This is pretty much the completed Lance, the only thing I need to do to it is clean up a few areas.Weapon: Bladed Lance
Cosplay: Oerba Yun Fang (Final Fantasy XIII)
Event: Saboten-Con 2010
Materials:
Conduit PVC & fittings
PVC primer and Adhesive
Cotton fabric (red & blue)
Craft foam (.6mm & .2mm)
Sheet metal
Screws w/ washers
Chain (jewlery grade)
Gold wire (jewlery grade)
Acrylic Paint
E-6000 Glue

For the time being, i don't think I will, that lance took up a lot of time and now a days i just can't spare any for commissions quite yet.

OMIGOD...IT'S SO GOOD! God this is such a stupid question lol but this upcoming summer will be my first time cosplaying and i'm super excited to be cosplaying fang..however I am super anxious and worried that the weapon I make won't follow the rules and regulations for anime expo. Did your weapon follow the guidelines for your convention?

haha no worries, yes my Lance is con friendly. It has no metal, except for the functioning parts of the blade and decorative nuts and bolts.

I just cut down some sheet metal and bolted it to the inside of my lance (before coveing the ends with model magic), then bolted the other end to my blades

How did you end up attaching the blades? and making the fold down like that??

I attached 2 pieces of sheet metal (opposite each other) inside my pvc pipe towards the end. :3

how would you go about making Lightnings main weapon? i really want to cosplay as her in the future...but i want the blade to look authentic...i dont really care about weight

I don't know. It takes me quite a bit of time to figure out how to go about making something. May I suggest looking at the weapon tutorials on cosplay.com
If you want it truley accurate, your blades parts will have to be detachable.
