Thanks Katerina. I actually took photos for the mother and dad but decided to "try" and draw this piece. I was pleased with the results, and I guess the dad was too because he purchased it.

The actual drawing itself is about 11"x14". The family purchased the piece so I don't have the actual measurements.

Yes, the other image is of MLK. I was not around when the photo was taken, but I liked the younger version. I took a photo of the flag to use as my guide for the background.

i use graphite pencils mostly and people i used to fear of drawing and didnt go there he now i ve learned so much, i been drawing portraits for about a year now. thnx for looking
